• Payment Information: For Boosts and Ads (processed by third-party payment providers — we do not store your payment card details)

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique identifiers, mobile network information
• Usage Data: Features used, content viewed, time spent, interactions, clicks, likes, favorites
• Location Data: Approximate location from IP address (even if GPS is disabled)

• Cloudflare R2: Media storage and content delivery
• Payment Processors: Stripe, PayPal (for Boost/Ad purchases)
• Analytics Providers: Anonymized usage data only

Legal Requirements

We may share your information to comply with laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests; to enforce our Terms and Conditions; and to protect the rights, property, or safety of PetTailez, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred to the new entity.

• Primary database: Supabase (EU/US regions)
• Media storage: Cloudflare R2 (global CDN with edge caching)
• Backups: Encrypted and securely stored

PetTailez operates globally, and your data may be transferred to countries outside your country of residence, including the US and EU.

For EU users: We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the EU Commission, adequacy decisions for countries with equivalent protection, and Privacy Shield frameworks where applicable.

No system is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

• Active accounts: Data is retained while your account is active
• Inactive accounts: Deleted after 3 years of inactivity
• Deleted accounts: Most data is deleted within 30 days. Some data may be retained for legal and security purposes for up to 90 days.
• Logs and security data: Up to 2 years
• Financial records: As required by law (typically 7 years)
• Dispute-related data: Until resolution plus the applicable statute of limitations

8. Your Rights and Choices

8.1 Access and Portability

Update your information directly in the app settings. Edit your profile, pet profiles, and modify or delete your posts and comments.

8.5 Withdrawal of Consent

You can disable location permissions, unsubscribe from marketing emails, and revoke third-party integrations at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

9. Children's Privacy

PetTailez is NOT intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we discover that a child under 16 has created an account, we will delete the account immediately and remove all associated data.

For users aged 16–18, parental supervision and consent are recommended.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

PetTailez may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are NOT responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, the content of third-party websites, or Partner business data collection. Third parties have their own privacy policies — please review them before providing your information.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the following rights:

• Right to Know: Categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, sources, purposes, and third parties we share with
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
• Right to Opt-Out: We do NOT sell personal information, so no opt-out is necessary
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights

• Identifiers: Email, username, device ID
• Personal information: Name, profile photo
• Commercial information: Purchase history (Boosts/Ads)
• Internet activity: Browsing, interactions, usage patterns
• Geolocation data: Precise location (if enabled)
• Audio/visual: Photos and videos you upload
• Inferences: Preferences and behavior predictions

We do NOT collect: Social Security numbers, financial account information (processed by third parties), or medical/health information.

To exercise your CCPA rights, email support@pettailez.com with subject "CCPA Request" including your name, email, and specific request. We will respond within 45 days.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, legal or regulatory requirements, and new features or services.

We will notify you of changes through in-app notifications and email for material changes. Material changes will have 30 days notice before they take effect. Continued use of PetTailez after changes take effect indicates your acceptance.
